Tübingen, June 1st, 2010. When she starts painting, Ingrid Krüger steps into a world full of colors and contrasts. Nothing else matters. Everything that counts is the sheet of paper in front and the color tubes beside her. More than 40 years ago, Ingrid Krüger has committed herself to water color paintings, one of the most difficult painting techniques, since it requires fast, improvised work, a practiced eye and, most importantly, confident brushwork. After all these years, she is still fascinated by the surprising possibilities this technique offers. Her pictures form a bridge between noticeable nature elements and their abstract clarification. Her brush strokes are spontaneous as well as thoughtful. Therefore Ingrid Krüger called her present exhibition "Zwischen Welten" – “Between Worlds”. The vernissage will be on Thursday, June10th, at 6 p.m in the Max Planck House, Spemannstrasse 36, in Tübingen. Claudia Gräfin Vitzthum will hold the inaugural address. The pictures will be presented in the Max Planck house until the 6th of August, from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m till 5:30 p.m.This press release is only available in German language.
