Ph.D. Students
In cooperation with the University of Tübingen about 200 students from all over the world are working at the two Max Planck Institutes and at the Friedrich Miescher Laboratory. Here, they can profit from a very dynamic and interdisciplinary surrounding, as well as from excellent scientific equipment. Our Ph.D. students are getting prepared for an independent scientific carrier with the help of special assistant and training programs. Many student helpers assist the scientists on campus. Through this they are able to get a fundamental insight in the daily work of a scientist and current scientific topics. Since our institutes are very interdisciplinary, we often have job offers in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, informatics, mathematics and psychology. In addition, the MPI for Biological Cybernetics is regularly looking for test persons who would like to participate in perception experiments.
