CSS - The journey from small town Canada to becoming an immunology researcher in Germany

I always knew that I wanted to be a scientist, but my career path has been rather unusual. From growing up in small town Canada to becoming a principal investigator in two major German hospitals, my expertise has broadened along many different avenues. I have learned a great deal about organizing and leading an international scientific society as the inaugural president of the European Development Origins of Health and Disease Society. Additionally, working as a freelance trainer of Scientific Writing and Presentation workshops has allowed me to maintain a close mentoring relationship with early-career researchers across Europe. I welcome you to join me in the story of this journey, it’s been a wild one.
